When she turns eleven, a year after her brother Draco, Cordelia Malfoy gets sorted into Gryffindor. It is a disappointment for her entire family. She should have been in Slytherin.
After a short period of time, she starts hanging out with Hermione Granger. They get along well and Hermione even starts introducing Delly to her other friends: Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley.
Despite the disagreements between the trio and her brother, she starts to get closer and closer to Hermione and Ron. She stays a little further from Harry because of the crush she started to develop on him. Every time she had to talk to him, the conversation turned out very awkwardly. She knew it was better to stay away.
With time passing, feelings starts to differ and change. Especially during adolescence.
