Shulk could imagine his own rebuke—something about how Fiora wouldn’t want this. How he should at least stay in the Colony longer, think things through for a while before setting out on such a dangerous mission. But on the other hand, what good would waiting do? The more he waited, the further that Mechon would slip away, and the longer Shulk would be stuck here, wallowing in his emotions when he could be doing something about it. He should do something about it, said the voice in his head.
Shulk took the Monado and made his way out of the park.After the attack on Colony 9, Shulk sets out alone.

After the worlds separated again briefly they successfully merged together into one world. The saviors and rulers of Alrest and Bionis have regained their memories of Aionios however the same cannot be said for the warriors who aided in bringing Aionios to an end. Despite that, those warriors now as children see glimpses of lives that they never lived. Fate or some other force brings Noah, an orphan taken in by the queen of the Bionis, and Mio the youngest princess of Alrest together once more. As the years go by old bonds are rekindled between the children and old wounds are reopened once more while their parents are at a loss of how to aid their children in facing it all. Their lives are challenging yet peaceful as the children reach maturity and their full memories slowly return until one day an evil presence surfaces which forces heroes of old and new to band together and protect the bright future they fought so hard for.
