Summary
Last year I used a randomizer, putting all names of the eight Chosen Children of Digimon Adventure, their Digimon partners and Crests into a hat. This way, I tried to give myself a little writing challenge, revolving around a simple "What if...?" premise:
"How would the Chosen Children react to getting approached by the Digimon partners of their friends in certain situations - and how do they display certain Crest attributes?"
Thus, eight one shots were created that I had a lot of fun with. The stories are mostly separate from one another and take place at different parts of the original Digimon Adventure timeline. “I don’t like that you put the idea of a bounty in his head. Every smuggler we’ve met since the Temple has been two bad hands of sabacc away from selling out their own mother to cover the pot.”
She fusses with the kyber crystal hanging from a cord around her neck. “He won’t turn us in.” Hikari laughs as Takeru lifts a skeptical eyebrow. “You know you keep me around for the people reading.”
(Hikari and Takeru are on the run years after Order 66 and join a smuggler's crew.)
