Viktor was many things, but, in truth, probably no actual royal bastard, and Dżejs, that naive good man (despite being rich), still did not see through all his lies so far. Heart was the stupidest thing, metaphorical one, that is.
Yes, the lie had already went on too long and too deep and he, a simple 1.poor guy (financially and in health (and in culture?)) and 2. poor liar and just a simple gravedigger with prolly simply long dead parents
....
Somehow did not wish to stop talking (forever)... to him. Be his best man, in the future, before jail, even, maybe. Just an, uhh, silly dream. He pictured it: at one of the Cathedrals, Dżejs and Melania, marrying, and him and Elora at their sides--- well.
Dżejs. Jayce, a forever-bachelor, but back then, that fact was unknown.$$$
