“There’s not a chance that I’ll see you again, is there?” Jeongguk asks.
“I mean, there is always a chance,” Taehyung says with an amused smile. “But I’m not giving you my phone number, and don’t go looking for me anywhere, baby.”
Jeongguk flops into the mattress. “Call me baby again.”
His stomach flutters when Taehyung laughs. For the rest of his life, he is ruined.

Summary
“Before Soojin passed, she gave me a name. Well, I’m pretty sure it’s a name. An unfamiliar one.”
He’s played it over in his head again and again so he wouldn’t forget it. It isn’t familiar to him, not a name that’s ever belonged to his pack. It must mean something, though. It was the last thing she said before she died.
“Kim Taehyung.”
Alpha looks more upset now than he did when he first approached Jeongguk in the clearing. “He is the one that kept her away from us. He is human, Jeongguk, the boy should not be left with him.”
It comes out like a command, the words spat out. They linger in the air until Alpha’s eyes are on him expectantly.
Jeongguk nods, a slight jerk of his head to acknowledge the statement. He sinks back when Alpha accepts it and extracts the boy from his chest to wake him further.
Regardless of what Alpha wants, he knows Soojin gave him that name for a reason, used the last of her breath to do so.
Jeongguk is going to find Kim Taehyung.
