Summary
Chan’s brain skips, scratches, unable to process what he’s seeing.
His eyes flick up to the little bundle of mistletoe taped to the ceiling and then back down to the people underneath it, too caught up in each other to realize he’s standing there.
It feels like someone spiked his pineapple juice, or like the time he got a contact high from Jisung. That must be what’s happening; that’s the only thing that makes sense. There’s no way he’s seeing what he thinks he’s seeing.
He shakes his head to clear it, but the scene in front of him doesn’t change, doesn’t resolve into some other pair of people clinging to each other, their mouths meeting and parting like they’ve done this before, a hundred times—a thousand times.
No matter how much he blinks, nothing changes.
No matter what he does, it’s still Minho and Felix.
Chan catches the Lee brothers kissing under the mistletoe on Christmas Eve.

Summary
Once Jeongin had stood Jisung up for their movie date, he tried to blow Jeongin’s phone up, get an answer out of him.
Emphasis on tried—his texts had gone unanswered, and his calls straight to voicemail.
When he’d caught wind from their mutual friends that Jeongin had called out sick from work for the past few days, Jisung took it upon himself to make the move. He was going to bring Jeongin soup, see if he needed anything else, and then lay into him for ignoring his calls.
Armed with his favorite samgyetang and good intentions, he only sorta technically breaks into Jeongin's apartment.
But the moment the door shuts behind him, submerging him in darkness, Jisung considers that maybe he made a miscalculation somewhere.
(or: jisung finds jeongin in the middle of his rut)

Somehow, Jeongin feels their days together coalescing into this moment.
Their closeness, their understanding, how they’ve gotten reacquainted without skipping a beat. The skinship he’s been chalking up as making up for lost time, as Innie needing physical touch after being alone for so long—
It all transforms into something bigger in his mind the more he contemplates it, the more he thinks.
He licks his lips subconsciously, watches as his sister's eyes linger too long to be mistaken as innocent.

Summary
Jisung knows very well what awaits him on the other side of the door. Still, he finds he's not ready when he lays eyes on the creature properly.
It’s big and lean and sharpsharpsharp.
A monster, by any normal person’s standards. An unnatural being from the bottom of the sea. Something time forgot. A nightmare.
To this creature, he thinks, anything could be prey.
And here it is, smiling at Jisung like it's happy to see him.

A business arrangement. That's what they'd agreed to call it.
As a doctor, Minho knew that ignoring Chan's diagnosis was a surefire way to complicate his disease, to play with his life.
So, when Chan had brought up proposing to his partner for their insurance, and when he’d come back with a clear ‘no’, Minho couldn’t just let him walk out of the hospital without a plan.
That’s how they’d ended up at the courthouse with a witness and no rings, just a signature and a handshake to seal the deal.
