Summary
Kaladin is attending the Ivy League Kharbranth University as a premed student. Modern-ish (mid-2000s) AU with (almost) no magic or spren (our world) just our favorite characters (Kaladin, Shallan, and Adolin) meeting/navigating college together. Think Stormlight with more girl-boy drama and lots of misunderstandings/miscommunications because I love that shit. If you're a millennial, get ready for some nostalgia. Especially where emo music is concerned because in my heart Kaladin is the OG emo kid. You can expect lots of typical millennial teenage angst/feelings/drama/pining/firsts and my typical crack-ish innuendo-laden prose. Also, we will be using ‘storms’ as a swear word because it's part of my vernacular.

His muscles felt shaky and weak. He was going to hurt tomorrow but today he was going to sleep hard. He shut his eyes before he collapsed face-first onto his bed but his eyes almost immediately snapped open again.It smelled like her. His pillow, the sheets, his blanket. It all smelled like Shallan. He felt like he was surrounded by her. He wished he was surrounded by her. Fuck.

I'm not messing around. I will be referencing several things that happened in WaT in the summary so click away now if you don't want spoilers.
Still here? Dope.
It's been a decade since the Contest of Champions and Retribution is mobilizing. Reports of returning Fused and Heralds have reached Urithiru. The end is upon them and Bridge Four reunites (I'm waving my hands about how everyone gets there—I want them all together so pipe down) but one person who should be there is missing his own party. Bridge Four is certain Kaladin Stormblessed will return but Adolin isn't so sure...until he hears a familiar voice call his name later that night on the sparring grounds.

Kaladin, Shallan, and Adolin meet up at the end like they promised one another.

“So what did you do?" Shallan asked, her eyes glittering expectantly. "Try to punch and stab your way through doorways or…”
He wished that was what he had done.
“No, um, many times I didn’t notice until—"
“Stormfather! You walked into everything, didn’t you?” She asked with excited incredulity.
Kaladin pressed his lips to a line. He had not walked into everything. But she was right, it had happened. And more than he would have liked. She seemed to guess her aspersion was at least partially correct and he could see the joy in her expression ramping up as he replied.
“Well not everything but there were a few times I—"
Kaladin didn’t get to finish, Shallan erupted with a shrill scream of unbridled glee.
Sure, Kaladin felt a little embarrassed about how many inanimate objects his face had unexpectedly encountered but he had promised, drinks, jokes, laughter, and he was certainly delivering on the last part. -

Summary
Inspired by Chaper 12 of RoW. What if one of Shallan's truths were admitting her feelings for Kaladin to Kaladin? Canon divergent AU where, Veil comes to Kaladin instead of Adolin. It's a slow-ish burn because spren and the damnably honorable prude that is Kaladin Stormblessed. Most of Chapters 1-4 is Veil/Shallan/Kaladin lead up with some angst, feelings, puns, fluff, needling banter, and pesky spren thrown in. The dubious consent is pretty tame and is over by Chapter 2. The Shalladin smut really starts in Chapter 5 and the Kadolin smut starts in Chapter 9, and continues in Chapter 11, if that's why you're here, but there’s some gay panic, Adolin forces Kaladin to take a spa-level bath, and the spren become a scourge on human intimacy in between. Chapter 12 is mostly Shakadolin fluff and merciless puns.

Summary
Ten days before the world ends Kaladin reconciles with Lyn (and gets laid because, come on, he deserves it). She invites him to spear practice and they do practice (Lyn is taking precautions). After a couple false starts, they finally make it to Kaladin’s bedroom. Kaladin learns to relinquish control and be protected (mostly in the bedroom) because, let’s be real, he should be protected and cared for at all costs.
