    Percy knew he was in over his head even before a group of men, dressed like they were going to win an ancient Greek costume competition, stepped into the cave.

    When Percy was knocked out on Polyphemus' Island while trying to save his friends, he had no idea that waking up in ancient Greece was an outcome he had to prepare for.
    But here he was, sailing across an unknown sea with a very well known ancient hero, reenacting the Odyssey (of which he knew far to little) and trying not to die. Fun times.
    Meeting the gods (who were wilder, younger and way more vengeful) while attempting to not mess up the future was just the top of the metaphorical iceberg.

    The only good thing? Dreaming about a rather cute boy who always made him smile...

Never finding a place in his sect and subject to unfounded rumors. Accidentally killing his shidi while trying to save him, despite their hate-fulled rivalry. Misunderstood by his marital family and those around him. Unable to open up for fear of rejection. Envious and jealous of the good fortune of those around him.

    Tortured for decades by the disciple he ignored and kind of abused, he was left suffering while so many cheered for his demise.

    Death had come as a relief.

    So why was he awake in this strange new world filled with new technology and strange slang. Why did his second chance seem like a horrible repeat of his life?

    And why were the others popping up with memories of their past?
