Summary
Jaskier should have been in his element.
He was performing in front of dozens of nobles (albeit mostly minor ones) at an intimate but lavish party in Verden. Food and wine flowed amongst the tables, he was the centre of attention on his little stage with his accompaniment, and the soft golden lighting filling the hall complemented his skin very nicely. He knew that once his set was finished, he’d be able to mingle and flirt and gossip the night away as much as he liked without worrying about Geralt brooding on the edge of his periphery.
Yet, as much as he revelled in the effect his music - as well as the occasional batting of his eyelashes - had on the nobles surrounding him, today felt different. All he wanted was to finish his set, smuggle some food back to the inn where Geralt was waiting for him, and spend a peaceful night with his friend preparing to hit the road in the morning.
It sounded so simple. He should have known that it wouldn’t be.
Or: Jaskier wakes up in a strange place after a strange night, and doesn't know how to deal with it.

Summary
“Finish it,” the target chokes out through bloodied lips, as if he could read the Asset’s thoughts, “‘Cause I’m with you...”
The Asset pauses, fist raised, somehow knowing what he’s going to hear, both dying to hear it again and dreading it at the same time.
“...‘Til the end of the line.”
Somewhere, in a shadowy corner that’s been left emptied and broken for over seventy years and buried deep in the back of his mind, something clicks into place.All of a sudden, the Asset isn't just the Asset anymore - he's also Bucky Barnes, a man who had been dead and lost somewhere in the Alps for over seventy years. He can't go back to HYDRA and he can't stay in Washington, D.C forever, so he does the only thing he can.
He runs.
Between focusing on his escape and recovering old memories, the Asset isn't really sure who he's supposed to be anymore. But over two years, 5000 miles and several different continents, maybe he can figure it out.
If he stays alive that long.

Summary
This is what passes for a "holiday" in their apartment: a film on the tv, or a record playing (CD, Steve has to remind himself, they're called CDs now.), or silence, sometimes, if that's what they need. Order in groceries or a take-away if neither of them want to cook. The new apartment isn't quite home, not like their old one back in the 1940s was - and Steve wonders if anything'll really feel like home since he woke up in the twenty-first century - but it's close enough.

Summary
Connecting stories about Jaskier and Geralt during the ambiguous time they've spent together. Doesn't have to be read in order, although parts from 5th forward are directly related. I however add a bare-bones summary of them at the beginning of the next one so hopping on without reading everything is possible!
The series name is lifted from lyrics of Love Run (intro) by the Amazing Devils. If you want to hear more of Joey's singing go check it out.

What a strange way to flatten something so beautiful, Jaskier thinks. What a small way to love.
Or: When Jaskier is hit with a curse that prevents him from having sex, he's lucky that the first person he meets is a Witcher. It's even luckier that Jaskier is used to hitting the road, because Geralt isn't waiting up.
