Ever since Peter came back from the dead he's been lonely. It's that feeling of overarching loneliness that you can't shake off even when you're spending time with someone you like.
At least Aunt May is still there after the blip. There but not really present. It's been 5 weeks since Peter came into existence again and he's living with May like he used to. All good, right?
Except it's not like it used to be. She moved and now has a new apartment, a husband and a baby. White picket fence and all that.
It's not like she hadn't been happy when she got the call that Peter was alive. That would be unfair to her. She was very happy and cried a lot. But Peter knows she doesn't have time for him. Not really._

“As fascinating and academically elucidating as sharing a drink with a vampire spawn would be,” the man cut across, holding one sparkling finger up as though admonishing a wayward student, “I’m afraid I have rather more pressing business to attend to this evening. Not to mention the high likelihood that your actual plan involved something a little less…cosy. ”
Astarion froze, any pretence of breath choking to a standstill in his icy throat. No one ever saw through the veneer of his performance this easily.Astarion meets Gale before the Nautiloid.
