Summary: Sam & Dean are not blood brothers…they did not grow up together. Sam is the adopted son of Alpha Vampire, Alexander, who is part of the ruling Council. Dean is a hunter and adopted son to John Winchester, also part of the ruling Council. Dean is sent to investigate & solve why vampires are suddenly dying in the southern region of the United States. The moment Sam and Dean lay eyes on each other, they know their lives will never be the same.
Note: This is AU, set in a world where a Council made of Alphas/Primes of a variety of species rule the paranormal world. Hunters are much like they are in the show, but also those that enforce the law and backed by the Council. However, don’t picture the Alpha Vamp as Ricky Worth. More like Alex Pettyfer. Summary
With a gasp, Arthur wakes.
He wakes to the warmth of the blankets around him, the sight of the stars above and Merlin’s hand grasping his. He wakes surrounded; by softness, by love, by light. Gasping in breaths, he wakes holding tightly onto Merlin’s hand, tethering himself to the word through that strong, sure grip.
He wakes and he’s not alone and everything's better.
He settles back down, his breath not quite steady yet, but getting there. He holds on tight to Merlin’s hand, looks up at the stars and lets himself drift back off to sleep, safe in the knowledge that he’s free.

Merlin and Arthur are held captive together for a month in the dark.
Back in Camelot now, the two face all they went through with the help of one another, their friends, and the night sky.

It was over. Arthur was here. The Lamia was slain. Gwen was alright. The knights would be back to normal. It was over.
Able to relax for the first time in days, he let his knees buckle and his back slide down the wall. He hit the ground, and his vision turned to mist.
Merlin didn't make it out of his encounter with the Lamia unscathed, or so Arthur thinks when he slays the beast and finds Merlin slumped against the wall and bleeding. When he learns the true source of Merlin's injuries he is furious. He does his best to push that anger away though, because being there for Merlin matters far more right now.
