The void was calming.
The warm hug of the black mist around your consciousness never made you uncomfortable.
It’s not like you were alone either.
Sometimes your floating mind would bump up against another’s and their thoughts would flood into yours. It was a kind of greeting. Always fleeting but refreshing. The thoughts that flooded you would always differ from each other. Sometimes it was as simple as wondering when they would be summoned. Sometimes it would be memories of the last summoning they had experienced. Those thoughts were always nice. Brief glimpses into the others' stories and experiences.
