Rewrite of my second ever oneshot I wrote for this fandom.

A group of bandits have the bright idea to kidnap Odile and try to break her, telling her how the rest of the party will go on without her or they don't actually need her. It's been three weeks, and nobody's seen anything of them, so maybe the leader has a point.

your heart like it did my own?The day has finally come for the party to split up. The others will be able to visit and keep in touch with each other perfectly fine, they're all in Vaugarde. But...Odile will be across the sea. It will be much harder to keep in touch.
...Ah, but it's all right. She should just be content with the time she's had. She knows no connection she forms can be permanent.
It was inevitable.

Is someone pretending to be her by dressing up in her signature outfit?or, Dress-up shenanigans lead to some tough conversations about hero worship between Odile and Boniface. Summary
As the party continues to travel to the coastal city of Bambouche, they find themselves getting into a comfortable, but still tense, rhythm - one where they can see just a little bit more of Vaugarde in it's glory, while also tracing to their objective. However, Change comes in the little and big things, and the changing of seasons is no different - signaling fully that the land is no longer on the grasps of the King. But the changing of seasons brings several maladies - it can be truly terrible if you are unlucky. Of course, our saviors would never need to worry about any of that, as they would always take proper care of themselves while on travel.
…Right?

Her ears are pierced the same way as the Kid’s. Her face is round in a way that’s familiar. You’re pretty sure you know who she is.
“I’m no god-” The words come slowly to you. “-But I might just have the answers you seek.”
She doesn’t turn back to face you, but it’s fine. You know other ways to grab her attention.
You are you, and so you are callous, manipulative, and your words- “Like where the Kid is.” A pause. “Where Bonnie is.”

The show’s over, the curtains have fallen, and the cast members have taken the stage for their final bows. Loop is not an actor, not a director, merely a sponsor. Loop does not take the stage. Loop fades.
Loop fades, and the Universe is not nearly kind enough to take them into its gentle hands, is not nearly kind enough to put them out of their misery, is not nearly kind enough to set them free.
Loop doesn’t fade. The loops end, the world doesn’t, and so who is Loop without the loops?
(aka, loop finds themself in bambouche, petronille unfreezes, and the inevitability of reunion hangs over them both)
