“Do I seem in the habit of making such vulgar jokes?” Zhongli’s voice is breathy and uneven, and his cheeks are flushed scarlet.

The blond crossed his arms and said, “It’s nice to see you again, Rover. To what do I owe the pleasure?”
“I was just in the area,” Rover hummed in response. That and he’d asked around then been told this was likely where he’d find the blond. But that was his own little secret. He tilted his head then asked, “Did I interrupt?”
“Hm? Oh, not at all.” Avidius replied. He lifted his left hand and adjusted the golden bracer slightly with his right. “I was just getting my training in.”
“Against a dummy that can’t fight back?” Rover asked with a little shake of his head. He blinked. “That’s pretty boring.”
Avidius shrugged and sighed, “Yes, well, unfortunately it’s the only thing around.”
“I’m around.” Rover replied without missing a beat. He held up his right arm and flexed it as he added, “And I’m pretty tough.”

Summary
“You and I, what exactly are we from each other?” Rover asks as he faces Luuk. Luuk brings his hand to his chin, as if he’s thinking about the next words that need to leave his mouth.
“Mm.. friends, I’d say.” Luuk responds, then turns around and waves his hand as he continues, “Not the kind who lived in each other’s pockets, but, as a Huanglong saying puts it,’ he turns his head and watches Rover from over his shoulder while he crosses his arms, “‘true friendships are still waters that run deep.’”
He looks back in front of him. “We met by chance, and by another twist of fate you entrusted me with a rather long-term assignment.” Luuk touches his forehead because knowing Rover, he’s not accepting this answer, so he turns back around to face him. “How about this: ‘Strangers in passing who became confidants.’ And perhaps, I should add a more modern side-term ‘friends with benefits.’” Rover gasps and takes a step back. “How does that definition suit you?” Luuk asks and smiles, crossing his arms in front of him again.
