It’s Akito. It’s Akito’s voice speaking to him, so familiar and smooth and positively dripping in the warm honey that Toya likes to drizzle in his coffee when he has a sugar craving to fill.
“Akito…”
“Toya, what’s up?”
Suddenly hot tears build behind his eyes for the nth time that night, throat closing with the words on the tip of his tongue now clogging his mouth.
His breath hitches, and before he knows it, he’s crying again.
Whenever Toya spirals, he knows he can count on Akito to pull him back to his feet.

Summary
Toya delicately brought his hands to Akito’s face and brushed his bangs away with his fingers. Seeing that Akito was fully relaxed, he brought Akito into an embrace again. He gently kissed Akito’s shoulder multiple times. Each kiss, he tried to bring the other closer and closer. On the last kiss, he brought his mouth closer to Akito’s ear and smiled into his damp skin.
“I love you, Akito.”
Akito felt his eyelids clench at the words. Everything that was happening at that moment, everything that's been happening for the time they’ve been with each other. It felt undeserved. The two had been so close as just singing partners, but as romantic partners…Akito had a stabbing feeling in his gut that it was going all wrong.
It was foolish to think that Toya would leave him, but the possibility of their relationship deteriorating and coming to a stalemate was still growing in Akito’s mind. And if it did happen, it would be his fault.
Each day, the feeling just became more and more painful to bear.
