    Summary

Cats have always sensed that Geralt is... different. He can't get within five feet without them hissing and scrambling to get away, which is why- promise you won't laugh- Geralt of Rivia, the great White Wolf, has never pet a cat before. And neither have his fellow Witchers for that matter. What happens when Geralt finds a stray kitten in some backwater town in the middle of Velen, ribs showing and half frozen to death? And what happens when he decides to take the poor thing back to Kaer Morhen with him?

    or

Jaskier is cursed to be a cat. The Wolf Witchers find him and instantly fall in love, giving him cuddles and kisses. Things sure get awkward when they find out that the kitten they've adopted is actually the bard who's been singing about them for more than twenty years.

    Summary

“This is Jaskier.”  Geralt clapped a hand affectionately on his shoulder.  “My friend.”

The thing is it isn’t untrue.  Not only is it not untrue, it’s an introduction Jaskier would have killed for years ago.  But the other thing is that they are sleeping together quite regularly now (and talking about it afterwards even, which considering the witcher’s temperment is quite a big deal for Jaskier thank you very much) and Geralt was the one who had specifically suggested this winter visit to Kaer Morhen to meet the closest thing to a family he has, so why is that the word he chose to describe their relationship?  And what does Jaskier have to do to get him to change it?

    Summary

The thing is, he’s seen Geralt in a bad way. Even the witcher can’t always avoid injury in his line of work, and so Jaskier has plenty of practice patching him up. But this is new, and it makes something awful and anxious twist in Jaskier’s stomach.

A contract goes wrong leaving Geralt captive and stripped of most of his senses by the time Jaskier gets to him.

    Summary

Jaskier stared in horror at the man before him.

No, not man, because no man would ever do something so horrifying and appalling such as this without so much as a twitch to his face, and even though Jaskier spent most of his time and effort trying to convince this self-deprecating hunk of a witcher that no, he was not a heartless monster and was in fact, still human in many aspects, Jaskier could not bring himself to do it now. Not this time.

    Maybe not ever.

You know how some game mechanics make sense in games but are absolutely ridiculous in real life?

Crackfic where instead of grand adventures and heroics, Jaskier spends his travels having to deal with Geralt’s absurd behavior - from horrifying eating habits, his ridiculous collection of broken rakes, aggressive herb gathering techniques, to a frankly scary obsession with Gwent, among other things.
