The worlds of TMA and ASoUE mesh very nicely. For example, both include stories about people who fought fires and spiraling madness and crawling things, until eventually all that was left of them was a story to be told by a man who knew far too much about things that he had never been there to see, and the faintest terror of realtors.
This is about how Aunt Josephine met the Distortion. It is also about other things.

Summary
[Kept up for posterity/archiving purposes, but oh boy my writing was not the greatest back then.]
In which Gravity Falls is sentient (and sapient) and saves Dipper's life when Bill tries to possess him during the start of the Transcendence. Rather than becoming a demon, Dipper becomes a living bridge between the mindscape and the waking world, and their respective somewhat-benevolent forests. The results are, initially, a highly spatially aware mostly-human twelve-year-old with a very green thumb and an impressive repertoire of magic tricks. Then things get steadily worse. Summary
Ms. Moynihan never said much about Jurassic Park after the disaster became public years ago. She didn't even comment a lot when asked about Jurassic World and whether Veloci had something to do with the company. "He wishes." But one day the park announces its new velociraptor pack. Ms. Moynihan brings the kids along on the field trip.

In the fight between Zhao and Zuko at the North pole. Zhao pulls Zuko with him into the spirit world where Zuko now faces the great spirits and they decide upon a fitting punishment for Zuko's crimes.
Let he who chased the Avatar now become the hunted. The fire nation has so proudly chased the dragons for a hundred years. And Zuko is only allowed to regain human form once he has shown true honor!
