Lord Bridgerton cuts himself on one of Colin’s silly souvenirs from Greece. He feels strange afterwards, but tries to ignore it, already disturbed by events that happened earlier that day with a certain member of the Sharma family. He is unable to continue ignoring the cut, however, when it seems to have tethered him to the consciousness of a man claiming to be born in the year 2000, from a world very, very different from his own. This would be bad enough, of course, if the boy weren’t also completely opposed to Lord Bridgerton’s plans for his own life and somehow even more prying than his mother about his plans for marriage. And much worse than his mother—Jax, that was his strange, strange name—had a mouth that would make the most hardened sailor blush, used turns of phrases he could barely understand, could occasionally control Anthony’s body, and could see every thought he tries not to have about Miss Sharma.
Or: Space-time continuum tearing so some Gen Z kid could berate Anthony Bridgerton (and affectionately nickname him Lord Bitchyton) about his questionable life choices the way we all wanted to.
