The stranger took a deep breath, and it was the first time she came seemed even slightly uncomfortable. Now they had agreed on a price and Vi had accepted, perhaps the rich piltie had lost her nerve. Despite her sudden discomfort, her eyes did not waver. They stared into Vi without blinking, sultry, unbreakable — as if they’d known each other for years.
