It was Christmas Eve—not because the seasons were colder than usual, or because snow piled up along the sidewalks and rooftops, or even because it felt colder than it usually did when he curled up to sleep with Cloud and Sushi. No, it was Christmas Eve because everyone else made absolutely sure he knew it was Christmas Eve. Repeatedly. Relentlessly. As if there were a risk that he might confuse it with summer, or Halloween, or some other loud, brightly decorated human holiday.

Christmas Eve at UA is loud, crowded, and full of cheer—everything Katsuki hates. While Class 1-A insists on celebrating together, Katsuki would rather take his cat and disappear upstairs.

'Safe?!' Izuku thought wildly, his ears flattening again as he stared up at the two pro heroes, who were now watching him with curiosity and concern. 'How am I supposed to be calm when I’m literally in the house of two pro heroes?!'

Izuku has a quirk that allows him to turn into a cat, but as of now...He's kind of stuck like this, like a cat, for /months/. It's fine, though, it means that now he can't be chased by Eraser-Head! After months of running away from that man, he would never suspect he was a cat! He thought he cheated the system, except that being a cat—a kitten—is harder than being a human. And so he got pretty roughed up when a rock was thrown at him, and many other things piled up the same way snow or trash piles up on the street.

Summary
When Buck moved to LA he was following a true purpose: He was going to be a firefighter for the LAFD. He put in the work, the studying the training, all to have that dream ripped away from him a month before graduating the academy. Buck needed to adjust his path finding himself working as a 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatcher in attempt to answer the calling that brought him to LA.
Buck still manages to find family with the 118.

When Bobby asked what made him decide on firefighting Buck attempted to doge the question, "You're gonna laugh."
"Try me," Bobby shrugged.
"I saw a movie," Buck answered. Bobby snorted.
"I told you."
Bobby smiled, "You just seem the type. You see a cool stunt on TV?"
Buck resisted the urge to sneer a bit while he defended himself, "No. Well, I mean. Okay, yeah, the stunts were cool but I really liked the brotherhood, you know?"
Bobby lifted an eyebrow. Buck corrected, "Or, siblinghood, whatever. The team. Having people have my back, it was a nice thought."
Bobby hummed, "You're really caught up on this whole team stuff, huh?"
Buck flashed a teasing grin, "So just my luck I get a loner mentor."
