Jeremy blinks at him, and then at the road. He stops at the light in front of their apartment, and puts on his blinker. “That’s,” he starts, a little dazedly, “twice my weight.”
It’s not what he means to say. What he means to say is: that’s awesome. That’s great. But the damage is done. There is a blush rising steadily to his face, his ears, and a slow and pleased smile tugging at Jean’s mouth.
