Summary
Search and destroy. Clear and hold. Attrition warfare. It turns out to be one clusterfuck after another, unclear orders, Billy’s got sand in his eyes and his ears, even feels like it’s in his goddamn asscrack, he’s tired and thirsty but he’s not hungry at least and the best part is that he’s got Frank fucking Castle next to him through it all. Frank Castle is everything Billy has ever wanted to have and to be. He’s stoic masculinity, hard edges all over, taking stay frosty to new heights, a natural-born leader, a tactical genius, he is. Summary
Foggy once told him “You like ‘em crazy”. Yes, apparently, and it makes Matt awful crazy too. Looking the other way, compromising his morals, this wanting to leave it all behind and run away. He’d wanted to run off with Elektra, and maybe if Frank asks him — if Frank asks he might do it too. Frank had said it was a good fuckin’ feeling to have somebody watch out for you. He’s right. It is. It’s exhilarating to put your life in somebody’s hands and to hold theirs in yours. How can any other thing measure up to that? To this ultimate act of devotion? The answer is that nothing can.
Frank keeps showing up, Matt feels conflicted, and a war is brewing between the Russians and the Triad.
Direct sequel to the devil is my strength and my defense

Summary
In some weird way Matt’s ended up becoming part of Frank’s unit here. A brief, warm feeling spreads within him. It’s good to have a unit. It’s part of Frank’s conceptualization of the world, it’s how the army raised him. Your unit is people you trust irrevocably, unconditionally, it’s blind faith, and somehow Frank finds himself extending this to the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. The Punisher works alone but he knows — he knows — Red would be there for him.
Frank’s back in New York, finding himself in the company of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen and the line between Red and Matt Murdock starts to blur more than he’d like to admit.

Summary
Boyd talks about everything and nothing and Raylan’s lying there with his eyes closed and the whole thing is very relaxing. He can smell the creek, the trees, and light reflects on the water like pieces of a broken mirror, tranquil and opalescent.
They’re lying side by side on some moth-eaten duvet, Boyd supine, stretched as long and slender as he is. Flecks of sun land on Boyd’s skin, golden rays slide patchily across his shoulders.
“I like hearing you talk,” Raylan says. “I mean—I like—I like listening, you know?”
Boyd chuckles. “Sure. I know.”

Summary
They go to the communal showers, take off their black-coated work clothes, scrub away the dirt from their faces and hands and underneath their fucking fingernails, and the dirt is in every wrinkle, in every pore, it feels like it’s inside him, somehow, and Raylan thinks the men in Harlan should be biologically immune to the effects of coal by now, given how every generation’s been trapped underneath the earth for centuries, digging through the same mines since the dawn of time.
Twenty minutes later they both step outside again, as clean as possible.
“Wanna get drunk?”
“Yeah, fuck,” Raylan mutters and Boyd grins.
Boyd and Raylan throughout the 1980s and 2010.

Until he sees him. That man. The man from seven years ago. The day Jayce lost everything. And he can’t help but follow him.
It is delightful to watch him. With his beautiful face, and his fascinating person; the man is a thing to wonder at. He’s a figure in a play, taking centre stage and Jayce is watching from the first row, taking in every expression, every gesture, every movement.
He is beautiful. Jayce will watch him. Forever.
Or: Jayce is a miserable vampire in 1890s London. He meets Viktor, a lonely alchemist. They fall in love… or something akin to it.

Somewhere, in another timeline, Jayce lies curled up in bed, clutching the shirt of his Viktor who passed away all too soon.
But, like two magnets, like moth to a flame, like binary stars, Jayce and Viktor will always gravitate towards one another.
