When you finally gave into the pressure to get yourself a hybrid to keep you company you went to the pound with the intention of getting a kitten or puppy hybrid. A young one, but the more the worker began to sell you on safety around the home and living alone as a woman with intruders, you ended up leaving the pound with a fully grown husky hybrid. His dog tag around his neck and the excited shop owner told you his name was Caleb and that he could be a bit standoffish but was generally a sweetheart. You were promised he was fixed, but that didn’t exactly turn out to be true did it?

Summary
Media made being sent to the world of a game seem easy, you knew the plot, what to avoid, what to look for. The plot was always about trying to stop oneself from changing the plot and the inevitable changing of it while falling in love. No one spoke about only having inklings of a plot, scattered knowledge acquired through second hand.
But that was exactly your situation.
Finding yourself in the midst of a dark 18+ otome game where you took the place of a character destined for death. Avoiding the main character would be easy, her love interests... well, that one was harder. You had never paid much attention to your best friend's rantings about the game, so you only know small bits. But they're intrinsincly connected, right? As long as you avoid her, you avoid them.
Right?
The chances that the five hybrids you end up having to house for a month are the love interests is one in seven, you could deal with those odds. And currently your list of worries is headed by trying to keep them from maiming one another and trying to keep up with their whims.
Guess you should have paid a little more attention to what Ami had been raving about.

There’s another subtle movement as he carefully tightens his hold. “I can feel your warmth, the sheets, and your heartbeat, and it hits me over and over again that you’re real. That this is real.”
It’s like he’s repeating the words to reassure the doubts in his head. You feel the urge just to open your eyes and kiss those insecurities away again, but he continues to whisper.
“I can’t explain it yet but… loving you feels like- like standing in the sunlight after living underground for years, and my body keeps waiting for someone to tell me I’m not allowed to stay, but you let me,” he breathes. “You choose me, even when I don’t know how to choose myself.”
As Caleb's hybrid dog past finally comes to light, you both finally have to face everything he can no longer run from.
