Summary
"Let's eat."
Yoo Joonghyuk carefully watched the man sitting by his side, merrily digging into the soup. Kim Dokja had only recently joined his troops — an irritating and stingy guy with a potty mouth. Not letting others look into his cards, he hid his secrets while prying into others' business. But what pissed him off the most was his unsettling smile. It stirred his well-kept composure, making it hard for Yoo Joonghyuk to stay calm around him.
He was also the only one with the courage to stand up to Yoo Joonghyuk. Strangely enough, he didn't mind his presence.

Summary
"Joonghyuk-ah, I am heading out now."
The day of his departure wasn't different from all the times he went abroad for a performance. Most times Yoo Joonghyuk would come along and accompany him with his violin, but this didn't happen all the time. Same went for this event where Kim Dokja would travel alone.
After packing his suitcase, Kim Dokja turned around to see Yoo Joonghyuk coming his way. He was dressed in a comfortable shirt and pants, holding a tiny bag that he offered to his stunned fiancé.
"Take care and come back safely."
[…]
Neither of the two knew at that time that this parting would be their last.

Summary
The day of the 12th anniversary after the scenarios ended, Yoo Joonghyuk woke to a familiar sound. A big blue screen appeared in front of his still sleep ridden eyes, a sight he never expected to see again.
[-Do you want to meet the 'Demon King of Salvation'?]
It was an innocent question that nailed the one wish Yoo Joonghyuk had never uttered to anyone.

Summary
Suddenly, Yoo Joonghyuk turned and met his gaze.
The golden light of the sun illuminated his back, making him appear as removed from the world as Kim Dokja always felt. A man so similar to him yet different the way he carried himself. Always exuding a strength that made any challenges in life appear pitiful if done by him.
Still, this great strength also carried a side Yoo Joonghyuk blocked from view. One that reminded Kim Dokja of a wounded man who'd lost his most precious possession.

Summary
From the day of their first meeting on top of the Han Bridge towards their final parting in the subway train, Yoo Joonghyuk never understood Kim Dokja.
The smile he could vaguely see through the blurred and distorted face kept people at distance. No one knew what kind of world he wanted to see as Kim Dokja never shared such private thoughts even after everything they went through together. At some point Yoo Joonghyuk believed the world they wanted to see after the end would be the same but when he turned around, the one person he expected to greet him with his infuriating smile was no longer to be seen.

Summary
To the public, he was a hero who saved more people than anyone else, an existence always present when disaster struck. So people already knew early on that when all hope was lost, the Regressor would definitely come and save them. It soon turned into a common prayer of possible survivors who laid their hope to see another day into this hero's hands.
Yoo Joonghyuk accepted this responsibility as he rushed into combat first. The number of his injuries grew worse over the years but he would still return to this invisible battlefield whenever chaos erupted around him.

Summary
This boy wasn't simply playing dead music notes but rather breathed life into his music. This trait alone made him unique in the music industry. Yoo Joonghyuk could imagine that anyone else would have stormed out of this room in fury after listening to such blasphemous music that fully ignored the music score.
But Yoo Joonghyuk didn't turn away as he listened to the various pieces the boy was playing that interestingly were pieces he was also awfully familiar with.
The skies were covered in a gentle pink when the music finally ceased. Without realizing he'd accompanied this young man throughout his practice but he didn't regret a single moment of his extended stay.
By now most students had already returned home so the corridors reflected the silence following after the youth stopped playing. The boy didn't speak for a long time as he simply stared at the slowly darkening sky.
His story wasn't one he'd shared with other people before so on that very day it gained its very first listener.

Summary
The day Yoo Joonghyuk accepted Kim Dokja as his companion, he could never shake off the feeling that there was something unique about the man. Apart from his abundant knowledge of this world, he always felt a strange familiarity with him.
Whenever he thought the guy wasn't looking, he would study him from afar. Yoo Joonghyuk's brows narrowed when he hit the very same wall in his thinking, grunting about his inability to come to a proper conclusion of what exactly 'Kim Dokja' was to him.
After the man presumably failed his test, Yoo Joonghyuk was ready to walk the road through this grief filled world alone. […]
But strangely, one certain bastard easily found a way to climb over the hard shell he carefully built around his heart.

Summary
As the lights kept descending, Kim Dokja noticed one that stood out from the others. Instead of a golden color it was clad in a murky black shadow.
[The constellation "Secretive Plotter" has incarnated into the scenario!]
Some of the descending lights instinctively evaded that shadow as it came for Kim Dokja. He didn't step back like the incarnations around who fled in fright, watching the shadow morph into a person in front of him.
To his surprise, the man's figure was concealed by a black veil. Countless stars reflecting the universe glittered atop the cloth. It was a rather contrasting sight to the oppressing aura coming from the constellation.

Summary
Yoo Joonghyuk's thumb brushed against Kim Dokja's lips. A soft touch that pulled the latter into a dreamy state. Breathing against the caressing hand, Kim Dokja's eyes almost closed shut at the soothing sensation.
Contrary to him, Yoo Joonghyuk couldn't avert his eyes. Long eyelashes framing Kim Dokja's face, a pale neck slightly exposed from his constant shifting and two pink lips slightly agape brushing against his palm.
It made him hold his breath.
There wasn't any other person in this world that made him feel that way. Who always occupied his mind. With confusing thoughts and emotions growing into a complicated knot inside his chest he couldn't untangle on his own. So when he lifted the man's chin to make him meet his heated gaze, the feeling grew explosively.

Summary
"What will you do now?"
Yoo Joonghyuk knelt down, brushing the strands out of the man's face to properly take in his appearance. His eyes quivered as he grabbed roughly for Kim Dokja's chin, looking at his face from every angle. There was no telling about his thoughts since Yoo Joonghyuk never expressed such emotions openly.
However, for the first time in centuries, a glimmer appeared in his eyes.

Summary
"Let me accompany you."
A rather complicated expression appeared on his face. Be it mundane tasks or more challenging ones, he could be sure Yoo Joonghyuk would demand to assist him.
At first, Kim Dokja refused any of such attempts. By becoming this child's guardian, he was rather unwilling to put him to work.
But when he saw Yoo Joonghyuk's shoulders sagging downwards. Eyes that contained an inextinguishable fire dimming down as if his spirit was leaving his tiny body - he could no longer look away.
He would kneel down and pat the child's head with affection. It was the start of something he couldn't name yet.
So as he eyed Yoo Joonghyuk who showed him that very same expression, he knew he'd already lost.

Summary
His blade suddenly collided with something. As he blinked his eyes open, he was met with a smirking Yoo Joonghyuk who didn't wear a helmet just like him.
They moved without saying anything.
Two blades clashing against each other. Blows deflected as fierce attacks were aimed at the other's body.
Leg. Arm. Chest. Wrist. Hand.
Kim Dokja protected it all, as if he could read his opponent's mind. The attacks didn't slow down as they collided, with their movements getting faster.
More fierce. Unyielding. Passionate.
There was no time to think. Both relied solely on their muscle memory as they picked up on speed.

Summary
"Joonghyuk-ah, my dear protagonist."
He leaned in, his lips almost brushing Yoo Joonghyuk's.
"Remember this: you are mine. I will not allow you to die. So don't ever think about regressing. There is no place for you to run to anyway."
Yoo Joonghyuk didn't look away. Not when his chin was forcefully grabbed and his lips claimed. Nor when he was pressed down, with the golden chains keeping him from running. Or when he could get a glimpse of the skies which had grown awfully quiet.
All that was here to know was that the Kim Dokja he knew was no longer to be found. That the person ravaging his mouth would swallow him whole. Yet Yoo Joonghyuk did nothing to run from this gaping mouth.

Summary
-Kim Dokja.
There was a band aid around the boy's head as well as many purple marks on his limbs looking like hand prints. He could guess the story of these bruises quickly.
Yoo Joonghyuk opened his mouth.
This was his chance. He wouldn't mess it up this time.
However, the god of this world was never forgiving nor kind to his sins.

Summary
[Warning: Spoilers for things regarding the Secretive Plotter]
When the scenarios first started, Yoo Joonghyuk had the foolish thought that he could save the world. By becoming strong and powerful, he and his comrades could overcome any tragedy. As he kept going through a world which was disconnected from the way it used to be once upon a time, he held onto this naive thought.
He trained and fought. Killed and slaughtered. Laughed and cried. Lived and eventually died.
Like an endless loop which reset when he died to the very start of this hell, he experienced the same tragedies over and over again. He would wake up in the very same subway train. Meet the same people who fought alongside him. Yet after just a few regression turns, he lost his confidence in calling them 'companions'.

Summary
As it also dawned upon the other party members, Kim Dokja smiled. He wasn't the protagonist to begin with so he didn't have any cool words to tell them. Even if he did tell them, it couldn't ease their resentment for his selfish wish. Yet with all these thoughts coursing through his head, he still let go of the words rummaging in the depths of his heart like a silent prayer of a tomorrow he wouldn't see.
