Tim had given everything, his childhood, his parents, his future, and Bruce was still treating him like he was one misstep away from becoming the next psychotic villain of the week. But even that was better than when he was treated like he didn’t exist at all.
It had taken him breaking for a fucking apology.
He-
No one else had to deal with that.
Tim lets Bruce marinate in the silence. Lets him think about what he’s done, about what led up to this. He hopes that Bruce hurts just as much as he does, if not more.

I suppose you want an explanation, a reason to explain why I did this. Something to help you sleep at night, knowing you did everything that you could.
It was always going to end this way, for me. There really never was any other option.
It’s not the logical solution to my problems, but it’s the only solution left.
I won’t bore you with an explanation of everything I’ve tried to fix it- the meds, the therapy- but I will tell you that I did try. You have to believe that I tried, because if even you didn’t believe me I don’t know what I would do.
I guess I can’t do anything anymore. Sorry.
