    Summary

Xie Lian’s life didn’t go as planned. Living out of his old Subaru, thrifting whatever he finds at garage sales, and generally just scraping by, he doesn’t realize how lonely he’s been until San Lang steps into his life. He falls too quickly for the tall boy who won’t say much about himself. But when a domino effect of unfortunate events happens, Xie Lian only has San Lang to turn to for help.

What he didn’t expect was to be swept up off his feet, taken to an overwhelmingly nice house and his every ask completely catered to…

Turns out the boyfriend he thought was also homeless — is actually doing quite well for himself.

Or: Xie Lian is homeless and Hua Cheng is quite rich but lies about being homeless because he wants nothing more than Xie Lian to like him and once he starts lying he’s got no idea how to stop. And Xie Lian is an oblivious little bean. Also, Eming is a cat again — cause I adore CatMing.

CW: Homelessness? Lying? I don’t think anything else… but I'm never sure when it comes to this stuff.

    Summary

Wu Ming had not been warm in a long, long time.

As a child, he had lived in a drafty hut with a mother who would not hold him.

As a youth, he had shivered on the floor of his God’s temple, dusting his towering statue and pretending the marble was as warm as Dianxia’s arms had been.

As a soldier, he had lain dying on a battlefield, cold creeping in as his heart desperately pumped the hot blood from his veins.

As a ghost, he had been nothing more than a weapon, a tool for his God. It had not been his place to feel Dianxia’s heat.

Today, Wu Ming woke up warm.

    Summary

"The world is at least fifty percent bad. Sometimes he thinks that’s a conservative estimate. For every dog pet, there is one kicked. For every penny given, one is taken. Xie Lian is not a gambling man.

But that’s the thing about halves: there’s always a flip side. Maybe if Xie Lian flips the coin enough times, some day it’ll land right side facing up. Forever might mean infinite disappointment, but it also means infinite chances—every time Xie Lian makes a bad gamble, there will always be a next time, and a next, and a next.

And Xie Lian is cold. He’s so tired from watching the rain from inside the storm. He wants to curl up in something soft and listen to it rage around him, rather than letting it chew him up and spit him out.

(He thinks that he would like to be beautiful, to somebody’s eyes.

He thinks that he would like to be saved.)"

OR: Hua Cheng finds Xie Lian on the streets of Shanghai after more than a thousand years of searching. He brings him home.

One single change can lead to a greater understanding of the situation. For Cid, that moment was when the bandit leader that kidnapped his sister directly referenced, by name, the cult he thought he'd made up.

    Summary

There was, deep inside Paradise Manor, a garden. The two lovers had made a habit of meeting there when even the small temple in Puqi village or their cottage on Mount Taicang suddenly seemed too busy. And everytime without fail, Hua Cheng would use this time to weave Xie Lian a flower crown, never missing an opportunity to add sweet nothings to his gift, just for the pleasure of seeing the god blush from the top of his head to his shoulders.

But today, Xie Lian had a mission, and he wasn't going to let himself get distracted!
