Summary

“How did you even get it in there?” Ed exclaims, pressing his fingers into his temples in an attempt to somehow will this whole scenario away, and then winces as another crash echoes from the cabin beyond.
Stede squeezes himself in between Ed and the door, patting behind himself for the knob. “Let me just—if you’d give me a moment—”
Ed seizes Stede by his lapel in a panic. “You’re not going in there, are you?”
“He’s an intelligent beast—he needs enrichment!”
“Yeah, I reckon chewing your arm off will be pretty goddamn enriching!”
