Time to write my own Dom/Sub verse fic.
Geralt's a submissive. He keeps his secret and starves his weakness until he crumbles. Jaskier's there to help him, but is he in time? And can Geralt let himself be helped?

Geralt had felt this longing before. For safety, home, rest.
Instincts long buried, weakness long stomped out, but still fighting to be heard.
He felt it in the spring, as he pushed further and further away from his brothers. He felt it in the summer, when the heat burnt away his patience and singed his raw edges. And he felt it in the fall as he turned towards Kaer Morhen, exhausted and eager to return home.
This year it was stronger.
Already he was tired in a way that only happened at midsummer. Soon, sleep would escape him like it did in the autumn as he pushed himself to make it through the pass before the snows locked him out.
Maybe this would be it. Maybe soon he’d retire… in the way witchers do.
The thought filled him with a unusually thick sense of dread.
“You sound very restless for meditation. Is there something wrong?" Jaskier asked, his fingers softening on the strings.

When a Witcher enters Jaskier’s forest to kill him, the Dryad is terrified and hides in a tree. Earlier experiences with a Witcher have left their scars on him. Faith be it that said Witcher sets up camp right underneath that same tree. Almost frozen to death, Jaskier is discovered the next morning and has to face his fear of Witchers, putting all his trust in the promises of Geralt.
