“Remember, the most important thing is to relax,” he was saying a few short hours later as he undressed in Laios' bedroom. He was taking it slow, partially to give himself time to relax, and partially to gauge Laios' interest in his body. “It may be hard to believe, but I was nervous the first time too,” he added, laughing as he casually dropped his pants to the floor. He wasn't going to take off his underpants until he knew things would go that far. There was a real chance that he would have to call it quits after one kiss – though he wasn't going to give up easily if he could help it. “It's really not as scary as it seems at first. Really, we'll be laughing about it in no time,” he assured, unbuttoning his shirt. Might as well take it off, he supposed.

Summary
He did take a bath, the most thorough bath of his life, scrubbing at his skin so hard that he felt itchy for minutes afterwards. He did more than that, too, while he had the time. He flipped through books on human anatomy, trying to absorb as much theoretical information as he could before learning everything the hands-on way. He knew everything there was to know about monster anatomy, mating and reproduction, he knew quite a lot about a number of animals, too, but he never found a reason to be interested in how these things worked for human beings. He suspected that it wasn't too different, except for the crucial fact that he would be involved in it, and so would another human being. He was relieved that that human being would be Kabru, even if just this once. He couldn't imagine that Kabru would want to do it a second time. Maybe if he did really, really well.
