Summary
His eyelids are heavy. His lungs ache. The smoke is dense and thick, slowly suffocating him. Eddie feels himself drift as Buck’s voice penetrates the smoke, cuts through the fog in his brain.
“Eddie, stay with me. Stay with me, Eds.”
Eddie wants to stay. He wants to open his eyes and see Buck. He doesn’t want to leave. But he’s so tired, and sleep is calling him.
Maybe it will be okay. Maybe his dreams will be sweet.Maybe there’ll be peace, there. And maybe, if he just rests for a little while, he’ll be able to find his way back.

Summary
Eddie looks back at Buck with an uncertain expression. “You wanna grab some breakfast before you go home? I’m starved.”
“Sure,” Buck agrees. He doesn’t miss the way Eddie’s shoulders relax, something like relief in his expression which quickly fades into a tired smile. Eddie thought he would say no, Buck thinks. And then:
He asked anyway.

Almost a year after the bridge collapse, a lot has changed. The team are scattered—Bobby and Athena on their Honeymoon, Hen on adoptive parent's leave, and Buck and Eddie... They may still work together, still have movie nights with Chris whenever they can, but things have changed. With Maddie and Chimney's wedding around the corner, Buck tries to make it perfect. And maybe, along the way, he might figure out why everything still feels... wrong.- Language:

Genuinely enjoyed this. Especially the chat with Chris at the end.

Summary
“It says on my application that I’m married, but Shannon doesn’t want to confuse Christopher. But I need her to come in for an interview so that he can get into this school.”
“Well, it just says you’re married, but it doesn't specify who you’re married to, it seems.”
“What are you getting at, Buck?”
“I mean, what if I pretend to be your husband and interview with the school so that Chris can go?”
Or
Eddie and Buck pretend to be married so that Christopher can attend the nice expensive elementary school but one thing leads to another and Eddie can’t help falling in love with his fake husband.

Summary
Eddie caught sight of the man leaning against the side of his desk and immediately wanted to retreat to the relative safety of the hallway, back in time when he lived happily not knowing that Mr. Buckley was apparently some kind of male model masquerading as a third-grade teacher.
“Uh. Hi,” was all he managed, as his brain desperately tried to reconcile this person—this very tall, very broad, very hot person, Jesus fucking Christ—with the Mr. Buckley that Chris rambled about constantly, the one who loved Lord of the Rings and was an endless repository of fun animal facts. (Did you know a group of owls was called a parliament? Eddie didn't, not until last week.)

Summary
“It was a date. When you and Marisol ran into me and Tommy, it was a date.”
“Marisol thought she was pregnant and I realized that I do actually want another kid, but not with her.”
The simultaneous, overlapping confessions hang in the air like an executioner's axe as Buck and Eddie stare at each other with wide eyes, both blue screening a little as they process the dual bombs just dropped.
Eddie recovers first, his head shaking slightly. “Wait, you and Tommy? So you’re-?”
Buck makes a pained noise, hands flying through the air once he finally gets his brain working again. “Uh uh, that is not the important thing here; Marisol is pregnant?!”
-
Buck's coming out scene looks a little different when Eddie admits that he wants to have a baby.
