Summary
Samuel Dalton was a complete fiction, of course, but that didn't mean that when Sam Reich snuck back upstairs to get tied up in the “out of order” bathroom, the Sam that remained on the monitor, laughing at the contestants, was a pre-recording. And if Brennan, Siobhan and Lou had snorted at the idea of a time-travelling evil magician great-grandfather (for good reason), going in with the actual truth of the matter would have sounded like jumping the shark.
It sounded bizarre, but the time travel bit was the only part about his new partner in crime that was confirmably real. Admittedly, the jury was still out on “evil”—he gave off a weird vibe at times, but so far, no lines had been crossed, and it had all been funny as hell—so for now, Sam was willing to roll with it. But perhaps most surprisingly, there wasn’t even the possibility of blood relation between Samuel Dalton Reich and the guy who had shown up out of the blue one day with his exact face and a plan to really fuck around with things on Game Changer.
Yeah, the whole alien thing had really ruled out that particular prospect.

Summary
“Sometimes though, cuckoo chicks will push out other eggs and even newborn chicks out of the nest, so the parent will have to focus entirely on them instead.”
Wyll frowned. There was something unpleasant going on in his chest. “Why?”
Ianfir shrugged. “We don’t know. It’s not taught behavior. Cuckoos aren’t raised by their parents after all. It’s likely something innate. Something so primal, that even as a newborn chick, a cuckoo can’t help but knock the other eggs out.”

Summary
At night, alone in his bedroll, Astarion’s mind wanders. Away from himself, his body, his own recursive and increasingly irritating patterns of thought—it wanders and it wanders until it, eventually, ends up back where it started. Astarion on his knees, entertaining someone else.
He has spent two hundred years fantasizing about freedom—ludicrous dreams, where he is fed, where he is warm, where he parts Cazador’s head from his neck with his fangs—the stupidest, most basic, crudest ideas of what he might do if only he had the power to control himself. And now that he has that control, he fantasizes about someone taking it away again.
Specifically, he fantasizes about Wyll.
For some time, now, Astarion has fantasized about Wyll Ravengard putting him in his place. This isn't a problem, until suddenly it is.

Summary
For all Mizora’s attempts to keep Wyll isolated and dependent on her, there is one thing she can never take from him: the Blade of Frontiers. In his head, Wyll rewrites his own story and tells himself tales of his ideal self. No pact binds the Blade, no stone eye sits in his socket, and he doesn’t have to thank a devil for the beard on his face or the depth of his voice. As he begins to unravel the mystery of Astarion’s easy charm and clumsy lies, Wyll even lets himself pretend that he could someday have a life beyond the hunt.
Mizora’s plans for Wyll go deeper than his pact, though. When she warps Wyll’s body into a shape of her own design, she also gives him a few gifts. Changes he has wanted for years are now permanently sculpted into his flesh with a fiendish twist, and Wyll can only ask himself… What would the Blade do?
Or: Wyll copes with his devil boner by writing fanfiction of his own alter ego, and Astarion tries out some high-stakes strategies for monster hunter seduction.

Summary
It's the first night after Wyll's transformation. The wound Mizora inflicted is still too raw for healing; but for the first time in seven years, he doesn't have to deal with it alone.
There was a terrifying flash of understanding in Astarion's expression. It was the bone-deep, wretched type of understanding that told Wyll far more than mere words could.

Summary
It goes something like this: Astarion wakes up flat in the dirt, hands tied behind his back, bleeding. His head aches.
Wyll stands over him, uncharacteristically scared. "Astarion," he says, fast and frantic. "Are you back to yourself?"
There are two puncture wounds on his neck.
(It goes something like this: Astarion wakes up. The party says he attacked them. He does not remember this.)

Summary
The devil paused for a moment in thought. “You’re laugh is like a song that I never want to stop hearing, and I’m glad that sometimes I contribute to its melody.”
There was that stubborn warmth again. “You’re a quick flirt.”
Wyll gave him a stupid handsome smile and a laugh of his own. “Is that your compliment?”
“No, it’s not.” Astarion said, trying to get his head and heart in order. “Wyll, I- I like your horns a lot.” Probably an unhealthy amount, but he would keep that part to himself for now.

Summary
At first glance, the pointed ears make him look like an ordinary elf. His hair is white, curled, and seems to glitter in the moonlight. His skin is pale but the armor he wears is black and gold, like some sort of Paladin or fairytale knight.
Wyll blinks up at him to make sure he’s really seeing him right. The stranger has a near unreadable expression on his face at first but then he smiles, strained, and Wyll sees it.
Fangs.
“Oh.” Wyll mumbles, realization setting in. “You’ve come to kill me.”
The stranger seems visibly surprised by his answer. “Darling,” he says, and there’s something strangely genuine about the way he calls him that, “Whatever gave you that idea?”
(Or Present Day Astarion ends up in a temporal mishap that has him meeting Twenty Year Old Past Wyll while he’s on death’s door. He steps in to do something about it.)

Summary
Astarion has kissed people before, of course. He’s kissed quite a lot of people, thank you very much. Some of them even survived the process.
Some of them he even enjoyed. Not that that’s here nor there.
Astarion successfully seduces Wyll, but Wyll is less interested in taking Astarion to bed a second time than he is in kissing him senseless. Astarion has no idea what to do with that.

Summary
The chest was a little smaller than Wyll remembered. Big enough to fit Astarions lithe form quite easily, just so long as he tucked his legs in a little. They had to knock his head again to daze him enough that he would stop fighting their grip.
“Oh Gods, sorry buddy.” Karlach sniffed, seeing the blood streaming down his nose and matting the back of his head. He looked like a wild thing lying there, drool dripping down his chin, eyes frenzied. He wasn’t blinking, and only seemed to breathe in order to snarl at them.
In which Astarion gets enthralled, then put in a box. yikes!

Wyll should have learned by now.
Mizora always got what she wanted.
And when she didn't, well, she always got the last laugh in the end.
After Wyll breaks his pact with Mizora, she ensures that both he and Astarion suffer the consequences of that choice.
Never did Astarion expect that to mean that Wyll would end up in Cazador's clutches.
