Summary
When you were children things were a lot simpler. You and Cross would play your games of Hero and Recuee, he said he'd always be there to protect you. But things changed as you grew older, and now that you are both all grown up, responsibility and station have gotten in the way. Cross is the son of Lord Gaster, and prospective heir to the throne for the childless king and queen. You are merely a lowly human servant, at the very bottom of the hierarchy.
However, you have something not a lot of humans have: magic. This puts you in danger though, because in a society ruled by monsters, humans with magic are feared and eliminated.
Will Cross be able to protect you and your secret when you both learn of it, or will you both get caught in the middle of a fight between the bandit lord Nightmare, and his bounty hunter brother Dream?

Summary
You’re just an average, happy human, going about life, trying to forge your way in the world. Fortunately, you’ve landed a nice job that pays well, you’re steadily and reliably working your way out of the debt you gained from moving to the city, and you found a great apartment (with a chill roommate, Sans, a polite skeleton monster with puns up his sleeve and an indecipherable gaze) for surprisingly little rent.
Everything’s fine.
And then, without warning, two more skeletons seem to show up out of nowhere at your and Sans’s shared apartment. The first to appear is Red, a hot-blooded, sharp-grinned alcoholic who isn’t shy to share his less than savoury intentions with you, with crude gestures and pick-up lines galore.
... And the second is a tall, broad, but quiet skeleton who immediately goes by the pseudonym Skull, sporting a huge crack in his head and a single, engorged red iris, that never seems to stop staring at you.
You’re not sure why both of them won’t leave you alone, or why Sans seems so desperate to stop them from interacting with you... But hey, what harm could come from it?

Summary
The sound of breaking ice was like a beast was waking up underfoot. Great jolts, heaves... in an instant the once-clear ground beneath you splintered into a cobweb with you at the centre, creaking shudders rattling through your tiny body.
And then it all gave way. You feel like you survived, but... perhaps the fall did kill you. That would explain why you plummeted into an inescapable hell. You are trapped underground and you are now the hunted; death follows you at every turn in any form it wishes to take, cold and hunger become loyal companions alongside the knowledge that each day could very well be your last.
You only ‘friend’ and protector from a variety of gruesome fates is an iron jawed (not just figuratively), axe-wielding skeleton monster calling himself Copper. He’s better than nothing but he’s a harsh, callous man of few words, and he won’t tell you why he insists on spending so much time and energy helping you stay alive.
It may have something to do with the fact that, on your first meeting, before you even uttered a single word to him...
... he knew your name.
