“I’m alright,” Ceci smoothed her hair, unruffled her skirt. A notification complained about a locked joint somewhere, which was made obvious when she could no longer bend her elbow all the way. “Never mind.”
“Do you need- do you want help?” Gigi knelt in front of the couch, tail sliding over their knees and rasping over the carpet. “I can help. I want to.”
Cecilia couldn’t help her smile, reaching out with her working arm to cup Gigi’s cheek. They leaned into it with a purr-like hum. “How noble.”
“I know right?” Gigi grinned. “You’re soooo lucky.”

Cecilia looks away from her book on how to start World War 3, and stares towards the girl sitting in front of her. She tilts her head.
"No, why?"
Cecilia doesn't think much of her question. It's Gigi after all. She normally asks questions as weird, if not weirder than this.
"I see. If that's the case..."
However, nothing prepares her for the answer that the gremlin provided.
"...Do you wanna try it out?”

She chuckles at the thought, but Cecilia doesn’t return the laugh. What greets her instead is a cheeky smile, all teeth accompanied with raised eyebrows.
The bird prototype is finally set down, porcelain digits resting against Cecilia’s chin. “Oh, so now you’re keeping tabs on when my key stops, huh?"
Though the comment was dripping with sarcasm, quickly followed by a snort of laughter, Gigi’s heart still stops in its tracks.
They’re talking about it now. She really doesn’t want to talk about this right now.
