Lestat grabs her laptop, suddenly very interested in learning the attendees. He starts scrolling, stopping only when he sees— "Louis du Lac?"
"Yep," Lily sighs. "That's my stepbrother."
Lestat almost drops the laptop.

Summary

Louis rolls his eyes. He tries to seem unaffected, but he knows his breathing is still harsh. “Don’t bother me again. I’ll have you thrown out.”
Lestat leans into his space, casual in his intrusion. “Will you?”
Louis can’t actually throw out Lestat, not for anything he’s done so far. If Tom knew he was threatening to boot a rich customer over this, he’d shout himself hoarse. But Lestat doesn’t know that. Probably.
“Yes. I can and I will.”
Lestat’s hand wraps around Louis’ left wrist, and his grip is firm, proprietary. Louis tries to pull away, but he can’t budge Lestat’s hand. He feels panic start to creep in, insidious.
“Ah, ah, ah, it’s alright, chéri, I won’t hurt you.”

Summary
“You have a very beautiful look to you, Louis… I'm inclined to pretend to want at least 10 more books, just to keep talking to you.”
Lestat practically whispers it, his voice is low, and he's leaning a bit over the counter with his elbows propped up on it. His hands are laced together, laying flat against the polished wood, and he has a sickly-sweet smile plastered on his lips.
It’s a horribly good idea, but Louis smiles, grabs a pen and a sticky note, and writes his name and number down. He sticks the note on the inside cover of Dracula, closes the book, puts it back in the bag, and slides it over to Lestat.
OR: Bookshop owner Louis De Pointe Du Lac has his life flipped upside down when he meets (and has an affair, AND falls in love with) Lestat De Lioncourt.
