Summary
A young hacker running from the mob joins a train heist to get out of the city. Mind you, the train itself is roughly the size of a small city, the track is suspended over a terrifying ocean that only the bravest and most foolhardy of people would dip even a toe into, and the group she'll be assisting with the heist have turned out to be a colonial terrorist cell, but all of that's small potatoes for the most skilled hacker on the continent! Right?

Summary
Mages require a wide variety of skills for their work, and even the longest lived of them don't have time to pick up every last one themselves. So they get helpers, followers, employees, sycophants. People who've cultivated these skills, who look to leech just a bit off of the fat well of power a mage can become. And sometimes, just sometimes, one of these unlucky followers learn a bit too much, delve a bit too deep, attract a bit too much attention to themselves, and find themselves down the creek without a paddle.
This time, that person was me.
