This story is inspired by Joan Power's one shot story "Set Him Free" which is linked on this page. That story stirred a lot of thought and controversy. Please read it before this one.

Even as she said it, she realized all was not alright. Chakotay had grown a beard. A Vulcan woman she did not recognize appeared next to him. Observing their uniforms, Kathryn deduced she had been transported to the infamous Mirror Universe. A nightmare in itself.
