The average person has 5 senses to rely on at any given time. Hylians tend to have stronger senses than others do, but after the war, the Hero of Warriors has a single sense he can truly rely on, and when a simple mistake leads to him losing that too, he finds himself drifting and in need of an anchor.

“When I summoned you, Shadow Link, I expected you to follow orders,” Demise seethes, glaring down at him with the hatred the god is so well known for. “Kill the heroes, I commanded you. And what do you do?” He slams his fists down onto the arms of his gaudy throne, cracking the stone. “Pull pranks?!”
“Distractions,” Shadow lies smoothly, wondering if it is possible for a god to perish from high blood pressure. “To lead them astray from the Goddesses’ mission.”
“I want them dead, not distracted!”
Shadow fights not to laugh. Well, that’s not going to happen. If Demise wanted them dead so badly, he should have picked a minion that actually gave a shit about his world-ending nonsense.
Besides, if the heroes were dead, Shadow Link wouldn’t be having nearly so much fun.

Says on the back....'from Elise.' Oh ho ho! Who's Elise? And there's another one here! This one's white...very, very cute. Is this from Elise, too? Let me see...oh goddesses! 'From Carmen!' Carmen! Now tell me, does Elise know about this Carmen?"
Sky looked up at him with an impossibly smug grin. Legend pressed the corners of his lips down as he pulled out the rest of the ingredients for the tea.
"They're just girls," Legend began. "Just-"
"Just girls? What kind of philosophy is that? And to think you criticize Warriors for his womanizing tendencies..."
