Summary
In the aftermath of Umbara, an unsettling transformation begins within Captain Rex. Whispers grow in the back of his mind, shadows dance at the edge of his vision, and a power he cannot control begins to rise. Summary
Tup was always used to being the oldest, having the protective urge to take care of his younger brothers in his batch. Until he wasn’t. His batchmates were all ripped away from him on their first mission, fresh off of Kamino. Soon he catches the eye of a certain Captain Rex and others from Torrent squad, but they discover that this clone is younger than the average age of shinies. He was only sixteen.
Horrified by such a discovery, Torrent becomes protective of the teenager. They invite him into their clan, though the young one doesn't trust them much, which was to be expected. They soon find out why that is.
As time goes on, Tup finds family within Torrent and makes friends spanning throughout multiple battalions: from the calming yellow of the 212th to the rough bite of the 104th. Life is as good as it can get while fighting a war until it isn't, and Tup comes to realize the horrible truth: not everything is happy and dandy. Being a teenage soldier was hard. And the terrible secrets of the galaxy made it even harder.

Vod’ika o'r Irude - Little Brothers in Arms
After the devastating events on Umbara, the 212th Attack Battalion and the 501st Legion find themselves grounded on Coruscant, awaiting the Jedi Council’s ruling regarding Pong Krell’s betrayal and untimely demise at the hands of a clone. Meanwhile, the 104th Battalion is also grounded on Coruscant, recovering from heavy casualties on Felucia during their last campaign, while also allowing General Plo Koon to be physically present among the Jedi Council. Tragedies and losses aside, it was the first time that the 212th Attack Battalion, the 501st Legion, and the 104th Battalion had been on leave together since the earliest months of the war – meaning that, for the first time, their youngest members were set on a collision course beyond the battlefield.

As Tup, Fives, Rex, and the rest of Torrent Company and the 501st Legion return to active duty after the events of Umbara, Tup finds himself plagued with headaches. The thing is - the vod'e don't get headaches. They didn’t get sick, in general – they had been designed not to, after all. But as Tup's condition worsens without reason, his vod'e scramble to find a treatment - leading them to uncover a dark truth and a web of deceit pre-dating their own creation.
