Named after the Courtney Barnett/Kurt Vile song, this is a breakfast buffet of quick & delicious two-year-gap stories that will eventually take us all the way to seeing Ed off at the station. Featuring automail shop talk, physiotherapy hell, dates gone wrong, career moves, crime-fightin', unexpectedly fancy dinner parties and emotionally significant acts of interior design. Manga-verse, and as aggressively canon-compliant as possible, with a lot of focus on Ed, Al and Winry figuring out how to fit knowing the truth about the Amestrian state into their new lives. See also: being normal, having hobbies, working, interacting with the neighbour kids, unraveling unexpected family secrets, learning new recipes and yes, coping with the longterm impacts of trauma.
There WILL be a sequel (with higher rating) and a companion piece in the same continuity, but this fic will be solidly T For Teen.
