Saoirse came forward and placed a hand on her forehead without hesitation. The touch was gentle, warm and unwelcome from a total stranger. Erin jerked away from the unfamiliar hand, hissing out a curse under her breath at the pain inside her head. “Don’t… don’t touch me.”
“You truly are sick. Ach, poor critter...” Saoirse breathed softly, a pitying gaze locked on hers that made her feel downright judged.
Erin was sick and she knew it, sick in a way she’d never felt before. That didn’t mean she just forgot an entire cousin.

“I will not be taking that chance. We nearly got attacked by Travelers and then hitched a ride with someone who I’m still not entirely sure wasn’t a serial killer. Never mind the escaped polar bear,” Erin recalled, her gaze now very distant as she was transported to all the potential dangers their gang had faced before, colored a lot differently when she thought about the same happening to her Matilda.
Matilda blinked. She was always a bit confused whenever a bit of lore came out about her parents' younger days. She could never quite decide if it all happened as her Ma remembered it so.
“… I can’t imagine that is an experience that would happen a second time Mammy,” she said.
__________James and Erin have had a lot of adventures (and misadventures) over the years and now their daughter Matilda starts to have her own.

Quinn was about to climb back into bed when she heard Logan add, suddenly, “And hey, if you need someone to kiss you, I might have an opening. If you ask nicely.”
“Reese. Couch. Now.” She insisted, not even bothering to look back at him.

Aisling gave a nod to her agreement, looking as unsure as Charlene had, which wasn’t reassuring for James, who knew he couldn’t do this alone.

__________It’s been months since their kiss and with all the changes happening lately, he hasn’t had much time to really think about it.
At least until he picks Erin for their group Secret Santa.
So now, having to find a gift for her that manages to say what he wants to say (without saying too much), he can’t do anything but think about it …think about how easy it could be to mess things up.
And while the three of them might not have a friendship outside of their secret Doctor Who fan club, Charlene and Aisling might be his only prayer at getting it right. Set between Episode 6 and Episode 7 of Season 3.
