They’re in her bedroom in a flash, and she’s thrilled that it’s finally happening, and she’s pulling her jeans off, and then —
Clark sits her on the bed and kneels in front of her.
Oh. Lois feels a tide of embarrassment rising in her throat. She plants a hand on his shoulder and tries to shove him away, but he’s solid as a rock. Obviously.
“That’s okay. We can skip me, and just move on to the main event.”
From the way his brow creases, she knows it was the wrong thing to say. “What?”
or Lois Lane thinks she's too high maintenance in the bedroom, and Clark Kent corrects that.

Summary
It starts out as a joke. Maybe a little bit of an insurance policy, which is the way BJ frames it to his friends, but mostly a joke. BJ is angry, bitter, very homosexual, and even worse than that, drafted. So, he figures, why not try and have a little fun, even if he’s the only one who’s actually in on the punchline?

Summary
Clinging to a crumbling marriage, BJ hasn’t written to Hawkeye in five years. A phone call from an old friend after the death of Hawkeye’s father sends him across the country to fix his mistakes.
Something like dread begins to pool in his stomach, seeping in through the carefully sealed cracks. Margaret wouldn’t call like this without it being an emergency, he reasons. If she wanted to get back in touch with him, she would write. This feels important.
Margaret seems to steel herself. “Just…have you heard from Hawkeye lately?”
Ice flows through his veins. His stomach drops. “No.”
