Summary
While obsessing over the hero, Superman, searching for ways to defeat him, Lex Luthor finds himself oddly drawn to the awkward journalist, Clark Kent. After dumping his girlfriend (into a pocket universe) for daring to suggest that his fixation on the alien is not fueled by just envy and hatred, Luthor turns to Kent, breaking the - so far - professional boundaries between them to explore the unexplainable attraction he feels for him. Meanwhile, Kent can't resist the unexpected intimacy, having broken up with Lois Lane for her protection when he suspected Luthor was catching on to his secret identity. As Clark Kent, the Kryptonian becomes Luthor's lover, struggling to maintain his secret while he fights the same man as Superman.
I'm not super well-versed in the comics; I only recently got into these characters after the 2025 Superman film. I do plan to get into the comics properly, probably after I finish uni for the year, so I have more time, but for now, this is just based on the recent film. It's set before the events of the film, using Gunn's versions of the characters.

Clark is wonderful. He is good—too good.

I was listening to the song "Silver Springs" by Fleetwood Mac and connected it to Lois post-Bride. It made me think about her experience in Star City and how she was coping for the month she was away from the --ugh-- chaos that was happening back in Smallville. The lyrics from the song are sprinkled through the chapters. This is written in a type of fragmented format.

Living in Gotham with Pariah, Dorathea and a few other ghosts while trying to figure out whether the normal life was truly for him.
