Summary
Elowen “El” Seren is an astrobiologist and former radical environmentalist. After an incident involving the death of her close friends, she leaves this field behind and instead becomes an Astrobiologist. After accepting to become a part of the Project Hail Mary science team, she reaches out and is able to make connections with other people once again. However, with connection comes loss, and she find herself on a ship with two of her closest friends dead and the man she once loved not able to remember his own name. She has to go through the difficult task of saving humanity and the Earth she loves while managing her grief and trying to get past her feelings for Dr. Ryland Grace. Along the way, her and Grace meet someone who changes their perspective of life outside of solar system.

This will be mostly book accurate, but I did change some details (mostly visual) to line up more with the movie. If you haven't read the book yet I HIGHLY recommend you do but it isn't necessary. There will, of course, be spoilers to both the book and movie. This is also my debut work so bear with me while I figure out how AO3 works.

“Grace. What are you testing, question?”
Rocky. I can’t put this all on the guy right now. He should be happy. We are going to Erid. We are going to save his planet.
“CBC. A complete blood count.” I answer, hoping he doesn’t ask me why.
“Purpose, question?”
Rocky, please. I’m trying to spare you right now.
Basically, Grace gets exposed to a dangerous amount of radiation during an EVA and doesn't want to tell Rocky bc of what happened to Rocky's crew <3
THIS IS A REWORKED VERSION OF "TEMPEST" - after some comments, I wanted to keep the soul of the story, but make it more scientifically plausible. While there are still probably some inaccuracies, I still hope this isn't as messy as before.

planned collection of short stories that cover different events happening on Erid that have to do with either Rocky or Ryland Grace. Time frame covered will be shortly before the arrival of the Hail Mary at Erid and will end with the conclusion of Ryland's time on Erid.
The story telling will not be from any one characters point of view but instead will be transcripts audio recording of the events taking place.
