    Thanos stares at his reflection, violet hair freshly touched up and gleaming under the bathroom lights. He adjusts the silver cross hanging from his neck, the tiny compartment within filled with the pills he hopes he won’t need tonight. His fingers are trembling slightly as he applies a couple dabs of cologne.

    He’s performed for thousands. But he somehow can’t ask a guy out on a fucking date? He groans and leans forward until his forehead touches the cool mirror.

    Club Pentagon.

    Where it all started. Where, if he doesn’t completely mess this up, something new might begin.

    3 times Thanos tried to ask Nam-gyu out, and 1 time Nam-gyu asked him out instead.

    Special friend. Yeah. 

    That was why Namgyu had spent the last few weeks constantly on the verge of a crash-out: it’s hard enough meeting your boyfriend’s family for the first time; meeting your boyfriend’s family for the first time when they don’t know you’re their homosexual son’s gay boyfriend would send anyone to a madhouse.

    Nam-gyu turns his head to look at him— the TV’s ambient glow soft against his face as the credits roll. Thanos suddenly gets a lump in his throat.

    “I’m getting kind of tired, man. How about we pack this up for the night. Yeah?”

    Nam-gyu’s eyebrows furrow, and Thanos is worried that the other man can see right through him. Luckily, he heaves a self suffering sigh and starts to drag the extra blankets and pillows off the couch.

    He gathers the bundle in his arms and turns away, “Fine. But I’m picking the first movie next time. Make sure to take off your socks before you go to bed. They’re disgusting.”

    Thanos scoffs and leans back into the couch cushions. Watching Nam-gyu leave out of the corner of his vision. The moment that he hears the door to their shared room (and god, that really doesn’t help) shut, he presses the heel of his palm into one of his eyes.

    Fuck.
