An angel and a demon are stationed together in Constantinople, pushing the boundary of what's allowed.
It wasn’t the first — or even the hundredth — time they had been stationed in the same place long enough to have reason to develop a cover, to establish the appearance of a relationship.
Sometimes — most times — they were just colleagues. Occasionally, though, Aziraphale grew bolder. Occasionally, there were nights when the angel showed up, never asking, simply leading Crowley to the bedroom to take what Crowley always wanted to give.
And then there were those handful of times — rare, precious, dreamlike — when Aziraphale completely threw caution to the wind and suddenly a night would turn into morning, turn into dinner, turn into sharing a home.
