However, the archangel feels himself weighed down by the weight of everything that has happened, frozen by his reluctance to address his own concerns and mend his relationship with his surviving sibling: Lucifer.
Angels and gods alike air their concerns, Gabriel feels his nerves fraying, and Hell truly is better company.

Humanoids are terrible. Odo likes animal-forms much better.
So when the Federation moves into Deep Space Nine, Odo is not a security officer. Instead Odo harasses Quark, makes enemies of O'Brien, and causes problems on purpose in the shape of a Cardassian vole.

Jayce cups the butchered halves of Viktor’s face with his calloused palms. He looks right into his eyes, two unblinking sigils of his connection to the arcane. Jayce looks at them like they burn him, like they provide the only semblance of warmth left, like he’ll accept every blister if it means he can get this close.
Jayce leans in, his thumb brushing against the cold skin of Viktor’s cheek.
“You still have that mole,” Jayce murmurs against him, so close it is almost a kiss. “The one right above your lip.”
