Jayce leans in, his thumb brushing against the cold skin of Viktor’s cheek.
“You still have that mole,” Jayce murmurs against him, so close it is almost a kiss. “The one right above your lip.”

Today is Saturday. Saturday means that Amaranthine gets to go have lunch with Ximena. Lunch with Ximena means that Amaranthine has to get up extra early to do her hair all fancy and pick out a nice dress. Sometimes Jayce will take a morning off from whatever the hell it is he does in the lab to help her choose - occasionally she finds that her dad has very good opinions on clothes, but most of the times not so much. Still, it's nice just to have him there - but today, she doesn't suspect he will.
That is because last night, the Talis house had visitors.
