Summary
The question comes out in a breathy sphere of slurred syllables before he has a chance to stop himself, “What the hell are you?”
Zoro stares at him blankly, “A pixie.”
Sanji splutters and throws his hands up in utter exasperation, “What the–? Quit fucking with me. Now isn’t the time to be joking around.”
“I’m not.”
Zoro giggles softly at his display of anguish and Sanji decides that it’s the sweetest thing that he’s ever heard in his pathetic life – even if he’s being ridiculed, “Sorry to disappoint you, Peter Pan; the Tinkerbell look is over and done with.”
Sanji navigates the intricacies of what it means to love, to live, to breathe; and in turn, he understands how the bitterness that he has come to know, far too well, blends amongst the surprising sweetness that life has to offer.
