Lando is the heart of St. Alderick Boys Boarding School . He’s the son of a major donor, the captain of the debate team, and has held the Rank 1 spot since freshman year. He makes excellence look easy mostly because he hides the fact that he stays up until 3 AM studying by the light of his phone so no one sees his lamp on.
Then comes Oscar.
Oscar is a transfer student with a scholarship and a terrifyingly efficient way of existing. He doesn’t "try" to be popular, which somehow makes him popular. He’s quiet, observant, and in the first mid-term exams of the year, he beats Lando by 0.5 points.

Oscar exhales loudly through his nose, working to set his face in a strict, flat expression. “What? No, you can’t look through my things.”
“Aw, why not?” A whine tears out of Lando’s mouth. His lips even form a little pout. “Please, Osc? You were such a cute kid! I want to see what cute little Oscar collected.”
“It’s not just from when I was a kid,” Oscar tries. “I mean, there’s stuff from school and karting and stuff.”
Lando scoffs a bit. “Ok, well, your mum sent it, so I know there’s not like your weird hentai in there or something. Well… maybe if she’s cool with the bottom eyes. But still, I wanna know what teen Oscar liked too.”
“Ok, I don’t watch hentai just because I learned Japanese, you freak,” Oscar says. “And even if I did, do you really think I would keep that as a keepsake?”
“Well, I can find out if you let me see what’s inside.”

And then Oscar happens.
