“Well, 'my guy'—” Xiao Zhan glanced at Lan Wangji, those hands still poised above the guqin, prepared to strike. “—is a bit harder to convince than yours. Besides, don’t you think it’s irresponsible to tell 'your guy' about 'time travel'?” He stopped short of making air quotes with his fingers.
“Did you think we'd just vibe our way through without any explanation?” Yibo shot back.
